SENSORY: An evening of art, live music, dance. food and drink inspired by the works of contemporary artist Martin D. Hyde, in support of the mental health charity, Mind.

Monday 16th December | 7pm - 9pm

 



Martin will be hosting an exhibition of recent works which include his latest collections, The Space Between Us and Suspension Series. He will also be showcasing his art film projections, album artwork and music videos for Dan Whitehouse and The Little Unsaid.

There will be live performances from Secret Dance Club (from Martin's latest music video), who will be doing a dance installation piece and a dance performance, and live music from Dan Whitehouse (Album out 2020 - artwork by Martin).


What's On:
7:00PM - Welcome
7:30pm - Music video showcase with Talking Heads
7:55PM - Live performance from Secret Dance Club
8:15PM - Live performance by Dan Whitehouse

Pete and the chefs will be creating a menu of exciting canapes for the evening, in response to the themes behind Martin’s work. We will also be hosting Uttoxeter Brewing Company’s latest range of bottled beers, which feature illustrations by Martin – available to try and buy throughout the evening!

In support of the mental health charity, Mind, tickets will cost £5 and all proceeds will be donated.

About Martin:
Martin D Hyde is a contemporary artist based in Wirksworth in the Peak District in the UK. He has an MA with distinction. He paints expressive abstract paintings usually using acrylic on canvas. Through his paintings, he reflects on his life as a person living with depression, those around him and his place in the world.
